Certified Diversity Specialist Designation



The Certified Diversity Specialist Designation is designed to provide real estate professionals with the education, resources and tools they need to work successfully with a diverse population.

Statistics show that the United States and the residential housing market are becoming more diverse and homeownership in America has an increasingly multicultural future. Choosing to embrace diversity can provide an opportunity for real estate professionals to grow their business and can help professionals in the real estate industry better address consumers’ needs and avoid discriminatory housing practices as they serve this expanding market.

The Certified Diversity Specialist Designation will help real estate professionals develop and strengthen their understanding of cultural diversity needed to become more aware of the unique differences among people and to better incorporate diversity into their business models.

How to obtain Certificate

  • Education:
    Complete the Certified Diversity Specialist modules online or in the classroom
  • Exam:
    An exam is required by some states for continuing education (CE) credit.
  • Professional Affiliation:
    Member in good standing of the providing organization
  • Cost:
    Course – Online version of the course: $297
  • Application:

Trey Scott Co-Founder, Trainer + International Coach

Trey Scott’s passion, experience and knowledge is reflected in his 11 years of real estate sales and leadership experience. In after his first three months of his real estate career he became the 2010 Rookie of the Year of his Realtor’s Board of Association as a part time agent and is a multi-year Million Dollar Club and Top Producer awards recipient. Trey has over 7 years experience in productivity coaching as Director of Productivity Coaching for multiple real estate offices in multiple states and a Business Coach for top producing agents and real estate teams. Trey is the co-founder of REFOCUS University and currently is an International Coaching Director and Regional Investor of Keller Williams United Kingdom.

Richelle Taylor Diversity Chair + Real Estate Agent

Richelle Taylor is a residential real estate veteran with 18 years combined experience as an agent, administrator, and loan originator. She is the founding President of the Twin Cities National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) and was a member of the Governor’s Task Force on housing as well as the Minnesota Association of Realtors Government Affairs committee. Richelle served as the St. Paul Area Association REALTORS Diversity Chair for 2017 and remains on the committee today

Azureya Sian Real Estate Agent + DEI Consultant

Azureya Sian is a real estate professional whose passion, purpose, and mission lies in using real estate as a change tool to provide sustainable equity. In her professional career, she has consulted, led and managed marketing teams, and has been a lead research instructor and trainer. She has created and implemented various Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs and curriculums in a number agencies, and has facilitated and spoken on various panels and round table discussions around DEI. Azureya has worked with a number of non profits and businesses as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant, and has worked on programs teaching young professionals about business, diversity, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
